Chris is an experienced leader in the deployment and operation of network infrastructure. He has deployed telecommunication networks across Australia, UK, Europe and the US.
He launched Optus’ 4G service in Australia and led Optus’ mobile network deployment for 5 years. Immediately prior to joining Evie Networks, Chris led network deployment for Sprint Corporation in the US.
Policy and Stakeholder Management
Stephanie has more than 16 years of experience spanning the energy value chain in technical, commercial, strategic, policy and advisory roles; with expertise in energy market policy and regulation, energy technologies & service innovation, networks and grid modernisation.
She is the principle of Nexa Advisory. She previously led the policy vision & strategy at AGL in relation to the reform of network regulation relating to new energy technologies & services. She had key roles establishing the national policy agenda around virtual power plants and competitive digital metering.
Sales and Marketing
Geoff Brady leads Marking and Sales. After starting his career as an engineer, he has held a vast array of roles in network deployment, governance and risk, vendor management, customer care; leading teams of upwards of 300 staff. Key achievements include launching priority queuing and 24/7 LiveChat for the Small & Medium Business segment, helping to secure the Canstar Blue award for Most Satisfied Customers Small Business for Mobile provider in 2016; 20% reductions in cost to serve, and a 15 point lift in Net Promoter Score.
Previously he headed the nationwide 3G network modernisation and re-farming program to lift 3G coverage to over 90% of Australia. Geoff is actively involved in the local start-up community and executive coaching and is a committee member on the Australian Israel Chamber of Commerce (AICC) Young Business Forum.
Antony Davenport leads the acquisition and deployment of Evie Network’s site assets. Antony started his career in the property industry before forging a strong track-record in infrastructure deployment, asset management, and strategic network optimization. Before joining Evie Networks, Antony managed the deployment of new base-station tower sites for T-Mobile (Deutsche Telecom) in the UK prior to moving to Australia in 2007.
Now based in Sydney, Australia, Antony has held a number of executive roles in the telecommunications and television broadcast industries, notably heading up Optus’ network property and site acquisition teams, responsible for the management of over 7,000 existing sites and the deployment of >300 new sites each year. After leaving Optus, Antony joined Broadcast Australia, leading civil, electrical and structural engineering teams, as well as project delivery, energy, property operations, and land divestment.
Paul Fox leads corporate strategy and organisational development. He is an investor, strategist, business builder, and technologist. He is a co-founder of both Evie Networks and Blockchain Pacific and an advisor to the Enosi blockchain project. He has held technology investment roles at Corran Toohill, AGL Energy, Southern Cross Ventures, the California Clean Energy Fund and Flex.
He was instrumental in creating AGL Energy Limited’s New Energy subsidiary, delivering products including zero-down solar, home batteries, smart air conditioners, virtual power plants, EV charging and blockchain enabled P2P trading. Now based in Sydney Australia he spent 14 years in Silicon Valley including as CEO of a smart grid company, a VP at Flex, and the CEO of a fuel cell company.
John is responsible for the high-voltage electrical systems design, procurement and installation of Evie’s proprietary ultrafast charging site topologies. He is a director of Unique Spark Engineering. John previously worked for J&P Richardson and Energex. He has significant experience in the utility industry in medium voltage (11kV/33kV) and low voltage (415V) electrical systems, including power system analysis, electrical protection and design.
He is skilled in technical certifications of electrical designs, power system analysis, power quality analysis, electrical protection, power generation and substation design. He has managed network connection applications, major electrical plant vendors, sub-contractors, and electrical works program delivery.
Ed is responsible for product development and human centered design at Evie. He currently advises a number of start-ups in energy storage, virtual power plants and EV battery recycling. Previously he led the energy storage team at AGL Energy Limited where he launched Australia’s first retail offering and large scale virtual power plant. He was a founding employee at Aquion Energy where he worked on Aquion’s novel aqueous sodium-ion battery technology, contributing to both battery design and development and the establishment of pilot and scaled manufacturing facilities.
Dr. Andrew Simpson
Technology and Planning
Andrew is one of Australia’s leading experts on electric vehicles and charging systems with 20 years of deep experience within the electric mobility and renewable energy sectors. Prior to joining Evie he was the Managing Director of Verdant Vision providing strategic planning and implementation support to electric fleets and charging networks throughout the Asia Pacific with clients such as Air New Zealand and the Asian Development Bank.
Dr. Simpson has also contributed to EV policy with APEC, Standards Australia and multiple levels of government in Australia, New Zealand and USA. Andrew began his career at the world famous National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Denver, Colorado. He was also an early Tesla employee helping to bring the Roadster to market and pave the way for their Model S and Supercharger network.
Trevor St Baker
Trevor is the founder and a Director of the St Baker Energy Innovation Fund (StBEIF) and Chairman of Delta Electricity. He also holds Director or Chairman of all StBEIF investee companies. He has over 60 years of experience in the energy industry, including 23 years in planning and leadership roles within NSW and Queensland Electricity Commissions, 12 years a Principal of ERM Consultants.
He was the founder of ERM Power, now one of Australia’s leading competitive energy retailers and listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. He was previously Chairman of the National Generators Forum and Director of Energy Policy Institute of Australia Limited. He was awarded an Officer of the Order of Australia in 2016 for distinguished service to the energy sector and for philanthropic support for a range of health, arts and Indigenous youth programs.
Rodger is the CEO of the St Baker Energy Innovation Fund (StBEIF). He is an experienced senior executive with 30 years of experience in the international energy sector with a focus on the commercial and wholesale trading aspects of energy, both as a commodity and as a product to end users. Rodger has held General Manager and Managing Director roles for several decades with companies such as BHP Billiton, Energex, Ingenero (a solar company he co-founded) and MPower. His responsibilities have included overall business and financial performance, business development, project development, trading, risk management, and establishing new businesses and business units.
